I photograph to see what things look like photographed.

Bio
I am a photographer, artistic researcher and civil engineer based in Thessaloniki, Greece.
My practice spans photography, photobooks, video, slideshows, and field recordings. I’m drawn to long-term projects that evolve through walking, observing, scientific research, pausing, and reflecting. Through this multidisciplinary approach, I seek to reveal the unseen dimensions of different subjects—from private spaces like the home, to my neighborhood and city, to large-scale infrastructure works where I’ve worked professionally.
Having photographed for more than 15 years systematically the working sites and the construction of the metro system in Thessaloniki, I deeply believe in the historical significance of building an archive that goes beyond mere documentation—one that is both informative and artistically engaging. My dual background as both an artist and an on-site engineer allows me to stay alert, focused, and to investigate my subjects from multiple perspectives.
I also believe in lifelong learning and have attended workshops and seminars by photographers, editors, and videographers who have inspired me, including Anders Petersen, Stratos Kalafatis, Eva Voutsaki, Moritz Neumüller, John Stratoudakis, Lewis Bush, and Apostolos Karoulas.
From March 2023 to June 2024, I taught creative photography at I.I.E.K. E.S.P..
My photographs, books, and audio works are part of the collections of MOMus–Museum of Contemporary Art, MOMus–Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), the Library of Toronto Metropolitan University and others.
