Taking part in the exhibition of the Curated Fridge in Sommerville

It’s so cool and funny to take part with one of my photos in the gallery of ‘The Curated Fridge’ – I mean- on the fridge of Yorgos Efthimiadis in Somerville, Massachusetts! This time the theme was the “Leftovers” and features prints from previous submissions that were given a second chance to shine. The exhibition, which consists of 93 photographs, started on the 18th of January 2025 and will last until March 2025. You may have a better look at the submissions here.

Commissioned work for ‘Greece’ Monocle handbook

I was very happy to see my photographs printed in the very special Monocle Handbook for Greece published by Thames and Hudson! This book is a practical and inspirational guide taking you almost all over Greece and introducing Monocle’s favorite places to stay, eat, shop, and visit across Greece. I photographed Stoa Modiano and the shop ‘2nd Floor’ in Thessaloniki, as well as a hidden treasure, ‘Disco Romeico’ in the beautiful location of Faraggi tou Enipea. The photos I have taken are shown in red colour.

Curation of “The Photobook Exhibition” at VAiF in Thessaloniki

Curating an exhibition about photobooks for the Visual Arts International Festival, held from November 9–29 at the esp+ gallery in Thessaloniki, was a rewarding challenge for me. These works come from various parts of the world and cover a wide range of themes. However, one common element runs through all of them: humanity and its activities, even when people are absent from the image. Through …

Co-capital Exhibition at Gallery ESP+

From 23.05. 24 till  17.06.2024 the exhibition ‘Co-capital’ was hosted at ESP+ Gallery, in Thessaloniki, curated by Manolis Skoufias. “Co-capital” is a collaborative photographic work between photographers Sophia Tolika and Kostis Argiriadis which aims to provide commentary on their birthplace and current home, Thessaloniki. The color photos taken by Tolika, interwine with the black and white photos taken by Argiriadis, scrutinizing whether one of the city’s designated monikers, ‘Co-capital,’ accurately reflects its contemporary portrayal. You may find the text that Manolis Skoufias wrote for our exhibition here (in Greek) and below you may find some photos of the exhibition and …
