We Could Be Heroes
The protagonists of the photographic series “We could be heroes” are everyday people who try to survive in a dirty, gloomy and abandoned city. Trapped and lonely in a hostile world which is imposed to them, are vainly seeking to escape. These people are flouting the reality and looking for their identity in the urban space. During their restless nights, they swan around places of unexpected meetings and find themselves in pending situations.
The contemporary life of the cities with its contradictions and underground ruptures is the subject of this series, as Italo Calvino at the “Invisible Cities” writes: “The hell of the living is not something that will be. If there is one, it is what is already here, the hell we live in every day, that we make by being together”.
